Concert & Theatre
The performing arts scene is alive and well in the Borough of Coleraine. Flowerfield Arts Centre in Portstewart is home to music recitals, concerts and exhibitions all year round. The Riverside Theatre in Coleraine also offers a variety of shows, pantomimes and plays which run throughout the year and The Playhouse, Portrush hosts a year round programme of music, comedy and cinema events.
During the summer months a series of live theatre performances take place in Portrush as part of the Portrush Summer Theatre programme and there is a variety of outdoor street entertainment throughout the area with performances suitable for all the family.
Festivals & Fleadhs
The annual Atlantic Sessions Music Festival which takes place in November is an exciting showcase for the country's vibrant music scene. The Maiden City festival takes place in Derry/Londonderry between the first and second weekends of August. Next year Derry/Londonderry will host the All-Ireland Fleadh bringing the traditional music festival to Northern Ireland for the first time.
